Nubble Lighthouse
Enjoy scenic views of the wide blue Atlantic and picturesque Nubble Lighthouse from any of our three oceanside terrace patios and from the private porch or patio featured with each of our luxury cottage suites.
Nubble Lighthouse is one of the most photographed and painted in the world. Officially the Cape Neddick Light Station, it was built in 1879 for $15,000 on a nub of land -- thus the Nubble. It was first lighted on July 1, 1879.
Annual Lightings
Twice a year the lighthouse is adorned with white lights. Christmas in July is held the last Sunday in July as part of the York Week celebration. The annual Lighting of the Nubble is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The lighthouse remains lit after dark through holiday season.
